Maple Leaf Gardens Final Game 1998-99 Season Ticket Set in Deluxe Frame

This professionally framed original ticket set has been created to commemorate the final season The Toronto Maple Leafs played at Maple Leaf Gardens, during the 1998-1999 season.

It is a limited-edition item as only 1000 were made. In the middle of the frame there is a small graphic of the historic arena and plate highlighting both the opening and closing season at the Garden. On the tickets are iconic headshots of historic players and staff to ever represent the Toronto Maple Leafs. The memorable opening of Maple Leaf Gardens was on November 12, 1931 against the Chicago Blackhawks. Ironically the last game to ever be played at Maple Leaf Gardens took place on February 13, 1999 against the Chicago Blackhawks.

For just over 67 years, Maple Leaf Gardens was home to eleven Stanley Cup banners, eight times where the Cup was won on Gardens ice. It was the home where famous radio broadcaster Foster Hewitt had the idea to broadcast the game and the birth of Hockey Night in Canada sprung. Maple Leaf Gardens was also the place where Darryl Sittler had his iconic 10-point game, still being the only player ever to record 10 points in a single game. Players like Bower, Salming, Mahovlich, Keon and Kelly all took their final skate on Maple Leaf Gardens ice.
