Sidney Crosby Game-Used Reebok Skates (2010-11)
These skates were worn by Sidney Crosby during games from October 7, 2010, vs. Philadelphia through December 15, 2010, vs. NY Rangers - a total of 33 games - and have been definitively photo-matched to multiple games during that span.
On November 5, 2010, Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby scored a pair of goals against Anaheim to begin a career-high 25-game scoring streak that would see the 23-year-old superstar tally 26 goals and 24 assists for 50 points. Crosby’s scoring streak was the longest in the NHL since Quebec’s Mats Sundin had a 30-game point streak in 1992-93.
With 26 goals during his streak, Crosby became just the fifth player in NHL history (Wayne Gretzky, Brett Hull, Steve Yzerman and Bryan Trottier) to average at least a goal per game throughout the duration of a scoring streak of 25 games or more. During his streak, which was tied for the 11th-longest point streak in NHL history, Crosby scored at least one goal 18 times, had 16 multiple-point games leading the Pittsburgh Penguins to a 19-5-1 record. Crosby wore these skates for 20 of the 25 games during his illustrious point streak from November 5, 2010, against Anaheim through December 15, 2010, vs. NY Rangers.
He amassed 39 points (19g, 20a) during that 20-game stretch including two hat tricks (Nov. 27, 2010, vs. Calgary and Dec. 2, 2010, vs. Atlanta). Crosby also scored his 200th career NHL goal on November 27, 2010, vs. Calgary and appeared in his 400th NHL regular season game on December 6, 2010, vs. New Jersey while wearing these skates.
